See whether the niche is genuinely crowded.
Why this exists
Built by a KDP publisher. Not a SaaS team.
“I built this because I stopped trusting my own research tools. They kept making Amazon look cleaner than it is — confident demand numbers, banner counts, page one treated like the whole market. I knew better, because I'd been burned by exactly that.”
The longer story
I’ve been publishing on KDP since 2011 — on and off for years. When I came back recently, I was genuinely impressed by how many tools exist now. A lot of them are good. I paid for several.
But I kept catching myself thinking: “I can do most of this manually.”
I was already checking niches with spreadsheets, formulas, and my own habits — and quietly resenting the monthly bill for a cloud I barely logged into. So I built the assistant I actually wanted: one that reads the real evidence, tells me when it isn't sure, runs on my own machine, and never asks for a subscription. It turned out other publishers wanted the same thing.
